Black Gold Win (44:00) That old Texas wildcatter spirit – it’s still around if you know where to look. And speaking of knowing where to look, what if I told you where there is an ocean of oil and it could be all yours, if you can claim it. See, there’s this old oilman who passed on just before hitting the big one, and his rig is still there, waiting for whomever can get that oil out of the ground. If you can figure it out, it’s all yours, but there’s a catch: You only have 60 minutes... Difficulty: Hard Participants: 10 Price: $29

Morning Lotion - Favorite

Image
Hello Beautiful People, This is what Jenn is currently using every morning for Spring/Summer. She has been loving the Ole Henriksen Nurture Me Moisturizing Creme and Clinique Pep-Start Daily Protector.   The Clinique Pep-Start has SPF 50 which is amazing for these sunny, hot days ! She used to use moisturizer with SPF in it, but don't think the SPF is strong enough for the hot days. Have to protect the skin from dark spots and wrinkles. It also gives a slight tint , so you don't look pale! Another great thing about this sunscreen is that it doesn't smell like one!  After she applied the Clinique Pep-Start, she put Ole Henriksen moisturizer on. This moisturizer smells delicious and feels lightweight . Perfect for the summer because we don't want anything heavy that will melt off when we step outside.  Overall, Jenn recommends this product for you to try this summer. Let her know how it works for you. Clinique Pep-Start UV Protector Broad Spectrum

Little Tokyo | Arlington

Image
Little Tokyo Restaurant 3901 W Arkansas Lane, Ste 103, Arlington, TX 76016 Decided to give this place a try, and I'm glad we did. This place is located in a shopping center and can be a bit shady. The inside was small and had cute decor. (I wanted to take the light up ball home, but I didn't)  We ordered the fried calamari (which was ok. Too much batter), Shaggy Dog Roll (cute presentation and actually pretty good!), and the Alaska Roll (spicy, but delicious!) Fried Calamari Shaggy Dog Roll Alaska Roll I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for another sushi place to try other then the ones in Arlington.

Smoke'N Ash BBQ | Arlington

Image
Smoke'N Ash BBQ 7301 Matlock Rd Suite 127, Arlington, TX 76002 Reason why I wanted to go here was because of one Yelp review. The Yelp review was glorifying their baked potato, and I LOVE potatoes. Also, I love eating at mom-and-pop shop. When we arrived, I ordered the loaded baked potato. GUESS WHAT! They ran out...I decided to do the 2 meat plate: ribs and brisket with a side of mac n cheese and green beans. The ribs and brisket were a disappointment. They were dry. The mac n cheese was pretty good, but the green beans were a bit cold. Overall, I don't think I would go back to this place. I wanted to love it because I love supporting locals...but the bbq wasn't great. :(

Who still uses a fax anyway?  Intrigued by the old-fashioned beeping you walk to the fax machine. The fax is a bomb threat, not the first you’ve seen and probably not the last. It says a bomb will go off tonight somewhere downtown. No ransom, no demands, no reason, just this single piece of information.  If you had a penny for every bomb threat that came into the office since you’ve been working at the agency you’d be rich.  Mostly drunk teens on a dare or a confused man that needs a little attention. It was always easy to separate a real threat from just a prank or desperate cry for help. This threat definitely had all the characteristics for the “do not take serious” pile, otherwise known as the garbage can.  Thirty minutes later you’re distracted once again by the sound of the fax machine and it’s the same message, plain and simple. You get a very bad f

Affordable Glasses - Warby Parker

Image
I haven't bought prescription glasses for over 5 years; I was definitely in the market for some new ones.  At first, my Husband and I checked out Lenscrafter and Visionworks and we forgot how much prescription glasses cost even with insurance...I felled in love with these Gucci glasses at Lenscrafter but I could not get myself to pay $400+ , and that is with insurance. Lucky, our friend informed us that a Warby Parker opened a store in North Park Malls and they have some cheap glasses. We went into Warby Parker and their glasses started at $95. No bad. After trying all the glasses, I fell in love with 2 pairs. I couldn't decide, so I bought them both. I purchased the Laurel in Tea Rose Fade and Daisy in Striped Molasses . Each of them costed $125 since I added high-index to both pair. My insurance company was able to cover $95, so I only paid $30 ! How amazing is that?? It took about a week to receive my glasses. I tried them out for a week and realized that my center foc

JAPAN Adventures [DAY 1]

Image
We took a trip to Japan for 10 days, and that wasn't long enough! I've always wanted to visit Japan. Just hearing all the stories about the transportation, people, and food sold me. To be honest, I tried to convince my hubby to go to Japan for our honeymoon, but he wanted to just find a destination where we can just relax on the beach and do nothing. I like that idea as well. Lol. So, for our one year anniversary, we planned a trip to Japan! Best. Decision. Ever. We both enjoyed it and we want to move there!   August 24 - Day 1:    We flew out of IAH (Houston airport) bright and early in the morning (around 6am).   We had a layover in Los Angeles for an hour. That was a 4-hour flight. We both fell asleep on the plane.   It was a regional plane, so we had the row to ourselves. Finally hopped onto our next plane. Lucky us, we were able to snag some seats in the back that were 2 seat row. I believe the plane ride to Tokyo was 11 hour. Not going to lie, it felt long. I watc
