Dak & Bop - Korean Fried Chicken - Houston, TX

Fried me, and fried me again! That's Dak & Bop for you. Laid-back spot for twice-fried Korean fried chicken, plus craft beer & a casual atmosphere.

My Hubby and I arrived there around 5pm. Wanted to beat the mad house (heard this place gets crowded around 6:30pm). Because 1.) Takes about 15 - 30 minutes for the chicken to come out 2.) Place is pretty small 3.) Hype is real on Yelp.

We ordered the Kimchi fries, Bao, and Wings.

Let's just say the Kimchi Fries was alright. TOO MANY TYPE OF FREAKIN' SAUCE! The fries itself was alright. I rather eat MickyD's fries :)

Chicken Bao was good! Again, stop it with the SAUCE! It's so overpowering. Especially the Hoisan sauce. GAHH. Overall, the baos were good!

The WINGS! Yes, so good! We ordered the Soy Garlic and Sriracha Honey Lime. As you can see the extra crispiness because they double fried it. The Soy Garlic was really good. Sweet tasting. The Sriracha Honey Lime was OK, but my Hubby enjoyed it better. You know, he's into that hot stuff. Ow Ow Ow, get ittttt.

So, is this Korean Fried Chicken worth the wait? Nahhh, It's not worth the hype. I prefer American Fried Chicken over this! Or even WingStop/Bdubs! But you should definitely give this place a try if you want to see what double fried chicken tastes like!
